The Louisville Triple Crown of Running has partnered with active.com to bring you the official training tools for the 2014 races.
If you are training for any or all of the Triple Crown race events, you'll want to sign up for one of these Triple Crown of Running "Training Programs." Read the information below to begin your training schedule!
|• Training Program #1|
|YMCA Official Training Program
The official training calendar starts in early January. It is important to prepare your body for the 16-week training season so please be prepared with a base of 3-4 miles 3-4 times per week. The Triple Crown Training Team is for everybody. You do not have to be a YMCA member to participate. The team meets every Saturday from early January through the last race at a designated location for a group run.
The cost of the training program is $30 for YMCA members and $50 for non-facility members, which does not cover the race series entry fee(s). The fee includes a special Triple Crown of Running Training Program technical shirt for all participants. In addition, non-facility members will have access to the YMCA and its facilities on Saturdays after the training runs during the 16 weeks..
|• Training Program #2|
|Fleet Feet has many options and programs
Once again, Fleet Feet Sports Training Programs are gearing up. They have a lot of options and programs to choose from this year.
Fleet Feet's program gives you a training framework and guidelines to participate in the Louisville Triple Crown of Running and other marathons and half-marathons. Also included are group runs from the store on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings featuring a variety of training routes for that weeks training.
