ActiveCommunities
Welcome to the forum. As you will quickly see, a lot of us are either "old shoes" or "newbies"
here, but feel free to jump in and say hi, ask questions or whatever. We are a friendly bunch
and are looking forward to our community growing through another running season!
Stick around, join in, read, comment, question and/or complain. If we can't keep you motivated, nobody can. Part of what we do here is cheer each other on, listen with a sympathetic ear, offer advice, and generally help each other through the ups and downs of running, walking and life. YMCA Official Training Program
The official training calendar starts in early January. It is important to prepare your body for the 16-week training season. The first week of the training season the team will be running/walking a total of 13 miles for the week. The Triple Crown Training Team is for everybody. You do not have to be a YMCA member to participate. The team meets every Saturday from early January through the last race in April at a designated location for a group run. The cost of the training program is $30 for YMCA members and $50 for non facility members. The fee includes a special Triple Crown of Running Training Program t-shirt for all participants. In addition, non facility members will have access to the YMCA and its facilities during the entire 16-week training runs. |
